MileStreak — Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-30
Some US states — Washington first, under its My Health My Data Act, and Nevada under SB 370 — ask apps that handle health data to publish a separate policy for it. This is that policy. It says nothing that the privacy policy does not; it gathers the health parts in one place. If the two ever disagree, write to the address at the bottom, because one of them is wrong and it will be fixed.
Who this is
MileStreak is an app for iPhone and Android, made and run by one person, Kevin Rudd.
The consumer health data MileStreak collects
- that a run happened, and when it started
- how long that run lasted
- how far that run went
- the streak worked out from those runs
That is all. MileStreak does not read your route, your GPS location, your heart rate, calories, steps, sleep, weight, or any other health or body measurement, and never asks permission for them.
Where it comes from
- From Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, only after you give permission.
- From you, when you type a run in by hand.
Why it is collected
For one purpose: to count your streak and show it to you, in the app. It is not used for anything else.
Where it is kept
In MileStreak's database, run by Supabase, on servers in the United States. It travels there over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted. The database itself enforces that only your own app can read or change your rows.
Who it is shared with
Nobody. Your consumer health data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone for their own purposes — not data brokers, not advertisers, not analytics companies, not other apps. MileStreak contains no advertising and no analytics.
Because MileStreak does not sell consumer health data at all, there is no authorisation for you to sign and nothing for you to opt out of.
Who can reach it
- You.
- Kevin Rudd, who owns the database, for keeping the app working and for helping you if you ask — not for browsing.
- Supabase, as the company hosting the database. It is not allowed to use your data for its own purposes.
RevenueCat, which runs the optional subscription, never receives your runs, your streak or any health data.
How long it is kept
For as long as your account exists. Runs imported from Apple Health or Health Connect are deleted straight away if you disconnect that source inside MileStreak. When you delete your account, everything is deleted from the live database immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- find out whether MileStreak holds health data about you, and see it
- get a copy of it
- withdraw your permission at any time, by disconnecting Apple Health or Health Connect — which deletes the runs that came from it
- have it deleted, including from backups
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights
How to use them
- In the app: Settings → Delete account.
- On the web: https://milestreak.com/delete-account explains how to ask by email.
- By email: write to kevin@nextmindadvisors.com. Requests are answered within 45 days, and usually much sooner. A request to delete your account is acknowledged within 2 business days and carried out within 7 days.
If a request is refused — realistically only when it cannot be confirmed the account is yours — you will be told why, and you can reply and say so.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects your health data, you will be told inside the app before the change takes effect, and asked again rather than assumed to agree.
